BUY AAGENT
AAGENT 10% (Gentamicin), is an aminoglycoside antibiotic particularly active against Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria.
It has a rapid bactericidal action acting directly on the 30s ribosomal subunit with inhibition of protein synthesis.
When administered parenterally, gentamicin is rapidly and almost completely absorbed (90% bioavailability). The plasma peak is reached in 30-90 minutes and the therapeutically active blood level is maintained for 6 to 10 hours. It is distributed mainly in the extracellular fluid compartment and has excellent diffusion at the pleural and pulmonary, synovial and peritoneal levels, particularly in the presence of inflammatory processes.
It is eliminated unchanged in the urine by glomerular filtration.
